The Daily Breath of God
daily devotional
Monday, August 11 2014
You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. Galatians 5:13
Freedom is wonderful, but the truth is, we do not find it in our sinful nature. Where is the freedom in sexual immorality; where is the freedom in cursing or harsh words; where is the freedom in un-forgiveness; where is the freedom in anger; where is the freedom in drunkenness; where is the freedom in selfish ambition; where is the freedom in a critical attitude; where is the freedom in worrying? In these things there is no life, but only some form of condemnation. Well, it is here where you may experience the wonderful grace of God that is in Jesus the Christ. This is a life and a freedom without condemnation, a life that encourages, blesses and finds expressions of kindness, goodness and faithfulness. On this new day may you live in the freedom of his grace. No one will be upset because of your varied expressions of grace and love for them. Your family, your work and your community will never be the same when you live in the freedom of his grace.
