For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 1 Peter 1:18-20
It is amazing what we as individuals put value on and what we value affects our thinking and our emotions, all of which impact the direction of our lives. It does seem that perishable things such as silver or gold are somehow on most people’s minds and if they can acquire a significant amount of these things they think they will personally have more value. Yet we have seen many people who have had the ability to acquire these things in great amounts and somehow still feel empty. What possibly could have more value than these things? Well, to the Lord we are more valuable than these things and we have been redeemed, refreshed and renewed with that, which is imperishable, the precious blood of Christ. On this new day may you know that nothing in your past has made you less in the grace of Jesus the Christ. Redeemed by the blood of Christ is the declaration that you are loved now and for all eternity. This is a good day to finally rest in what God has said he has done in you through Jesus the Christ.

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. Ephesians 1:3,5 NLT
This is a beautiful word picture of the joy and power of God’s grace. Our sin nature never blesses, it only condemns and is in constant want. Grace on the other hand blesses, and in that blessing leaves nothing out at all. Being united with Christ means we have been given the nature of Jesus the Christ in all its fullness and in his nature there is no condemnation or want. What is especially beautiful about grace is that it has nothing to do with what we have done or what our old nature was like. But bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. On this new day, with this in mind, take a deep breath and praise God for his great love of you. Your life and all its details are allowed so that you may experience the power, the beauty and the love of his grace for you. No matter whatever you have thought, know this, that God takes great pleasure in you. Now that should blow your hair back and cause you to rejoice.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NLT
Through the journey of my life I have thought a lot about God’s grace. His grace that saves and makes new creations. At this point in my journey I like to say that grace is God’s love given in the power of Jesus the Christ’s name without any condemnation. So many people who believe in Jesus the Christ seem to live life fatigued, having emotions that feel condemned. They journey along life asking – “What would Jesus do in this circumstance?” Well, everything he would do is already done. He has given us God’s love through his grace and because of what love is, it does. The freedom of grace lets us rejoice with thanksgiving in the moment we find ourselves and this releases the freedom of God’s love to be seen and expressed naturally through us. On this new day may you let this freedom of grace be seen through your expressions, your words and your goals. This verse is a living reality of the grace of God that lives in and through you. You will really like this day. Enjoy!

All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Psalm 139:16,17
One of the great beauties of God's grace is that it gives us the ability to relax and rejoice all at the same time. Living overwhelmed by his grace gives us better hearing, of what is really around us and much better vision as to the situations we are walking through. Grace changes our values and choices which automatically impact our attitude for the day we find ourselves in. Living in a grace condition removes fears, anxiety and much of mis-trust about others. It gives the freedom to know that our Lord is involved in the journey with us and therefore we do not need to be offended so easily and we can enjoy encouraging others along their journey as we have been encouraged by our Lord. On this new day let his grace be precious to you and enjoy his attitude of kindness as it will be expressed through you. You will be pleased at the way you process info and so will those around you. This is a good day to smile and give thanks to the one who has overwhelmed you with his grace and enjoy his thoughts, bringing praise and refreshment through you. Enjoy!

Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. Luke 23:34
What a picture of the emotions of grace that we have here. Jesus had been falsely accused, punched in the face, spit upon, had his flesh whipped off his back, beard pulled, carried his cross to the point of overwhelming fatigue emotionally and physically, nailed to a cross and crowned with thorns. It was in this condition that he said - "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Grace goes beyond the situation and sees the love of God for the souls of men and women. In the midst of pain, grace gives the freedom to not be consumned by the bad attitude of accusers and therefore it finds a sweet relief in forgiveness. As we can see clearly here, there was and is no condemnation in the grace that is in and through Jesus the Christ. On this new day, may you enjoy that freedom of his grace that allows you to bless, encourage and forgive in such a way that the love and kindness of our Lord is seen and heard through your life and voice. You will be so relieved and refreshed that you will hardly be able to contain it. So lift up your heart and voice and praise the one who loves you. The attitude of grace will bring a delightful blessings to your relationships.

Don't let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ. Colossians 2:8-10 NLT
Many times along our journey we look for that which will give us some fullness or a sense of meaning or completeness. For in it, we think we will find our worth and passion. Without it we seem to struggle with who we are and where we are going. If that turns out to be our way of feeling valued, we will continue to set up something that gives us a sense of fulfillment and brings us a sense of value concerning ourselves. Grace lets us experience something that is more than fame, more than wealth and more than good health, all of which do bring joy, but never seem to be enough no matter how much we have. The freshness of grace is to live in a sense of WOW. We have been given the greatest of all things, our union with Christ. There can be nothing more magnificent or fulfilling than God himself. On this new day may you acknowledge your life in Christ with a heart of thanksgiving and praise. Smile, relax and rejoice for you are dearly loved in the grace of God found in Jesus the Christ.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:1-3,14
It is amazing that along our journey the joy that comes to our lives when someone of high standing or someone we really respect stops and takes the time to notice us, encourage us and have some kind of conversation with us. On that day our lives are refreshed and we usually tell someone about that moment. Well how about this; that Jesus the Christ is not a religion but the eternal one who we know as God. He became flesh and made his dwelling among us, full of grace and truth that we might know the joy of being loved without condemnation and the freedom of a new nature in him. On this new day, ponder anew that he knows your name, enjoys who you are and loves having a conversation with you. His grace will blow your hair back and you will find a real reason to rejoice on this day. You might even find yourself being mouthy, expressing encouragement and joy to others.

This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. Colossians 1:6 NLT
So many of us think of church or Jesus the Christ as some sort of religion activity or system by which we begin to judge ourselves. If that were the case, it surely could not be called good news. Grace is eternal life expressed and given through Jesus the Christ. It is his love that makes any individual new who comes into contact with his grace. Grace is so wonderful that it changes our perspective on ourselves, on others and on the details we find ourselves in. In this place our emotions begin to express joy and thanksgiving even in some of the most difficult opportunities. No wonder John Newton called it “Amazing Grace.” On this new day let his grace give life to your views, your emotions and your thinking. God did not want you religious; he wants you alive, enjoying a life of grace that produces all kinds of wonderful encouraging words and actions in your life and the lives of others. When this is happening, it makes for a really good day.

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. Colossians 1:9,10 NLT
The beauty of God's grace that has been given in and through Jesus the Christ is the freshness it gives to faith. When faith in God is very much alive in us, we find ourselves in a place where our emotions and thoughts bring delight to us, as well as those who are around us. In this place you will not find irritations, worry, anxiety and all the nasty forms of lust. Here grace becomes the blessing to our family and the healing of emotional wounds begin to take place. In the Word of God this is called - Good Fruit. Let his grace through faith allow you the joy of knowing him better and better. On this new day may you know for sure that his will for you is good. It is designed to refresh you, to delight your family, to bless your co-workers and to renew your community. May you live in this grace that is called freedom for you and yours.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Psalm 91:1,2
No matter who we are, no matter what our education, no matter what our wealth and no matter what our nationality is, sometime along our journey death comes to us. It may be the death of our career, our money, our desires, our marriage or our friends and our family. It is right here where grace in Jesus the Christ can make a difference in our sorrow. Grace is God's love that is alive and can refresh and renew our emotions and thoughts right in the midst of heart ache. Death does happen, but grace lets us know that it is not the end of the journey. On this new day may you rejoice in his love with thanksgiving and praise no matter where you may be found. His grace is a place of rest and brings joy back to our emotions and thoughts. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Enjoy!

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth). Ephesians 5:8,9
The power of God’s grace that is found in Jesus the Christ is clearly told here. You were once darkness, but now you are light. This is not an improvement or adaption, it is a new creation. Here we are taken back to the origin of everything; a creation is bringing something out of nothing. The beauty, the love and the power of grace is that it took darkness and turned it into light. That means the freedom of grace affects the seat of our personality, our heart, our understanding and our affections. This changes everything in how we view ourselves, our circumstances and our relationships. Now grace can reveal itself through our speech and our actions. On this brand new day may you enjoy remembering who you are because of the grace of God. May the old habits have no place to express themselves because grace has renewed your words, your actions and even your moods. This is a good day to smile and give thanks to the Lord right where you find yourself.

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again – Rejoice. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4,6-7 NLT
Has anyone every told you that if you live the Lord’s life of grace you will be able to live a worry free existence? If we follow the freedom of thinking found in the Lord’s Word, once knowing Jesus the Christ, we will free ourselves to relax and be refreshed in an experience called freedom. In place of worry, stress, anxiety, shame, guilt or condemnation, start spending time rejoicing and you will discover joy in some of the most difficult places. With this freedom in place, thanksgiving will flow naturally and our Lord will put a guard at the door of your emotions called peace. On this new day begin right now rejoicing in our Lord. Find expressions in your face and your words that reveal the attitude of rejoicing and receive the blessing you were given in Jesus the Christ. It is called the freedom to relax and be renewed in the moments of your journey so that your thinking and emotions are free from worry. In Jesus the Christ you were made for this and thanksgiving will become a natural byproduct of who you are.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Philippians 4:8 NLT
It is truly amazing the impact our thinking has on how we feel at any given moment. Some of us are prone to worry; it seems to come so naturally. Others seem to have in their thinking a poor self-image and a hesitation to believe that any good thing could even come their way. There is a reason the Word of God encourages us in a life of grace to think about things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and worthy of praise. The impact of our thinking not only affects our emotions, but also our decisions which direct the course of our life. Grace has been given to transform the way we process the information that is before us. So on this new day, may you enjoy and experience the transformation of grace in how and what you think about. Relationships are made well here, hopes are experienced in this place and refreshment is found in some of the most difficult places. Thinking this way allows you to speak, respond and give in ways that will bless you and everyone around you. May all your thoughts be refreshed in this freedom that grace gives to you on this new day. Enjoy!

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
There is something wonderful that happens within us when we know we are at our best. Well, the beauty of God’s grace that is given through Jesus the Christ frees us up so that we may know at any given moment we are at our best. Grace is powerful and relaxing at the same time. It is eternal life without any form of condemnation about ourselves and a freedom to give this grace away to everyone we meet along our journey. Grace gives a rebirth to our character which obviously affects our emotions and thinking. Grace makes life beautiful and therefore husbands and wives that are full of grace make really good marriages and families. On this new day enjoy who you are because of the grace of God. Believe what our Lord says about you, that he enjoys you and loves you. Smile right down to the depth of your soul and your life will be the voice, the knowledge and the character of the word of truth.

The LORD merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born. He assigned the sea its boundaries and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs. Psalm 33:6,7 NLT
When we were children, at least for most of us, our parents protected us, provided for us and cared for us. It was here we learned the beginnings of trust, hope and love. No matter how rich or poor we were, we never thought about it, we just relaxed through the day and when we went home from school or play we knew that food, shelter and love would be there. Somewhere along the journey we learned about stress, anxiety and peer pressure, none of which we enjoy. When we let ourselves be overwhelmed by grace, worry leaves the room as well as attitudes that are less than outstanding. Grace does much more than save us for heaven, it sets our heart and mind free to experience and enjoy the love of God given without stress, anxiety or peer pressure through the details of our journey. On this new day that has never been, may you enjoy living right smack dab in the middle of his grace. You will enjoy the relaxing freedom of his presence; know the whisper of his voice and the joy of his salvation that calls you son or daughter. A smile will become natural as well as praise and thanksgiving. Your emotions and thoughts will be refreshed and you will clearly know what it means to be delighted in the Lord.

Imitate God, therefore in everything you do because you are his dear children. Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. Obscene stories, foolish talk, and course jokes – these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. Ephesians 5:1,3,4 NLT
What is commonly called salvation in Jesus the Christ is the freedom that his grace gives to our character. If the things listed here in God’s Word were so outstanding, we would have stayed in them and rejected the beauty of his grace. Here we can experience the refreshing nature of grace as it renews our values, our thinking, our emotions and our attitudes towards God, family, friends and co-workers. On this new day may you celebrate the freedom you have in his grace to live in the joy of thanksgiving. Here, you and everyone around you will experience a delight in relationships with the Lord and each other. As you live and imitate the freedom of his grace no one around you will be irritated. Transparency, kindness and integrity will just be who you are.

Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O LORD. How precious is your unfailing love, O GOD! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 36:6,7 NLT
The beauty of the grace that is given in Jesus the Christ is that it gives us a new nature, a refreshing view of life around us. We can see our world and the situations we find ourselves in, in a brand new way. His grace gives us the assurance that he is with us and completely aware of where we are. Therefore the details of our life can bring glory to God and refreshment to us, as well as those around us. How precious is your unfailing love, O GOD! On this new day let the grace of God put away your fears, your fatigue and old habits of thinking that are less than a blessing to you or to others. Enjoy the expressions of grace that are yours in Jesus the Christ and then give them away to everyone you meet. You will be so blessed that you will hardly be able to contain yourself. Your family, your work place, your church and your community will never be the same. On this day rejoicing in his grace will refresh how you feel and think. Enjoy!

And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. Matthew 27:50,51
The sacrifice of Jesus the Christ was not a religious moment. It was that which is dead coming into contact with that which is life. The curtain in the temple separated people from the presence of God and only the high priest could go behind the curtain once a year for the sins of the people. The curtain represented our sins and the tearing of the curtain, from the top to the bottom was the action of God’s grace upon our sin. Now because of his grace nothing can separate us from the love and presence of God. Yet some who have experienced grace for salvation let their sins keep them from the beauty of the life of God that tore the curtain. On this new day because of the grace of God in Jesus the Christ may you live in the joy of his presence and love. No matter where you have been, nothing can separate you now from the life, the love, the grace and the presence of God. This is a good day to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. In his presence all things become new.

And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else. 1 Thessalonians 5:14,15
Can you imagine living in a place where people stopped offending, stopped condemning, stopped irritating and stopped sinning against one another. Living in a place like that, what would marriages be, what would a neighborhood look like, what would be the mood of the community? Well, this is what is intended to happen to a man or woman who has come into contact with the grace of God given in and through Jesus the Christ. Our nature is renewed with the desire to bless, overwhelm with goodness and forgiveness and to live a life that can be the music people enjoy listening to and seeing. On this new day may your journey of grace be the song that everyone can see and hear with joy. May your marriages, your neighborhood and your community be blessed because of what the grace of our Lord is doing in and through you. Grace makes you a man or woman of God, so go ahead and delight yourself in our Lord and this new day will blow your hair back.
