Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Through the journey of my life I have thought a lot about God’s grace. His grace that saves and makes new creations. At this point in my journey I like to say that grace is God’s love given in the power of Jesus the Christ’s name without any condemnation. So many people who believe in Jesus the Christ seem to live life fatigued, having emotions that feel condemned. They journey along life asking – “What would Jesus do in this circumstance?” Well, everything he would do is already done. He has given us God’s love through his grace and because of what love is, it does. The freedom of grace lets us rejoice with thanksgiving in the moment we find ourselves and this releases the freedom of God’s love to be seen and expressed naturally through us. On this new day may you let this freedom of grace be seen through your expressions, your words and your goals. This verse is a living reality of the grace of God that lives in and through you.
