So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other, just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. John 13:34, 35 NLT
Our world uses the word love and seems to want to experience it, but struggles in its emotions and thoughts as to what it is or what it really looks like. Multitudes of relationships in the home, the community and the nation are broken. The grace that has been provided and given by God through Jesus Christ opens the heart to become a new creation, in order to experience and live in God’s love. So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other, just as I have loved you, you should love each other. When we are told that God so loved the world that he sent his one and only son into the world… John 3:16, he goes on to say, God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:17. So God’s love is not condemning,it is always relational and shows itself to people wherever it finds them. Think what would happen to our society if God’s love became the bases of all marriages and divorces came to an end. Think of the impact on our homes, our communities, our church's and our nation if men and women of God lived this way. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. Today, may you allow God’s grace to give you power to live this new command: love one another. Every relationship you know will be changed and you will be blessed. Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:10 NIV. Enjoy!
