I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal your love and your truth from those I meet. Psalm 40:10 NIV
This Psalm reveals how intimate David’s life with the Lord was. God's grace gives a change to our lives which can be seen as a refreshing newness and causes us to see our world in a fresh new way. I do not hide Your righteousness in my heart gives us a beautiful view of life without condemnation in our emotions or our thinking. This is really very personal, I speak of your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal Your love and Your truth from those I meet. With that in place, our faith in our Lord becomes a joy in our journey and others are then blessed with his grace, his love and his kindness through us. Here relationships can be rebuilt and renewed. A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25 NIV
God's grace impacts the details of a man or woman’s heart. Much of what we are born with can be very self-consuming. But God's grace gives a delight in living with open hands and an open heart, giving integrity to our emotions so we can see how to bless others along their journey. a generous man will prosper. God's law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God's wonderful grace became more abundant. So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God's wonderful grace rules instead, giving us a right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:20,21 NLT
Here we can see the tug of war that goes on through our life. Sin is always self-serving and expresses itself in many ways, such as lust, bitterness, anger, resentment, criticism, fault finding all of which bring some serious tension to our relationships in the home, work place and community. Grace on the other hand gives what is called here “eternal life” which brings about eternal attitudes of kindness, encouragement, joy, blessing, thanksgiving and praise because of God's love given without condemnation. As we begin to learn to live overwhelmed by his grace, we can see, hear and respond so that our Lord’s character is seen through our life, then others are refreshed and we are blessed. Today, may you enjoy that life that is called eternal through Jesus the Christ. Take a breath of his grace, then relax, look up and give thanks to the Lord. You will see, hear and respond in such a way, that you will feel like all things have become new again, it is just what a life of grace does. Enjoy! Tuesday, February 24 2026
You have heard the law that says, "love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. Matthew 5:43 - 45 NLT
These words encourage us to go in a totally different direction than our natural sinful nature feels. When we try to do this by our own effort or strength, often our emotions become exhausted and our thinking fatigued. God's grace is given to renew us through Jesus Christ into a new creation, it changes our nature so that we have the freedom to not take offense so easily and to not feel that we are being criticized every time someone disagrees with us. Love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! Being overwhelmed by his grace then allows us the joy of refreshing others, even when they do not deserve it. Today enjoy his grace that gives you the freedom and privilege to encourage, bless and love people in situations that are less than outstanding? Your emotions will be renewed, your thinking will be transformed and you will have a smile right down to your soul. Enjoy! Monday, February 23 2026

And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded. 1 John 3:21-23 NIV

Here we can see again the power of God's grace that gives us no condemnation in our heart, soul or mind. If our hearts do not condemn us, we have confdence before God... Grace gives us the assurance and joy of a relationship with the Lord that is secure, good and refreshing as each new day comes. Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. Husbands love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. Ephesians 5:21,22,25 NIV
These verses tell us of a new way to think about submitting and loving in our family. To submit or love out of duty or obligation makes us feel useless, sometimes feeling inferior and in time gets tiring. In Grace, submitting or loving is to esteem, encourage, give honor and respect to others along their journey. Grace creates a new nature of not being irritated or stressed in our relationships. When living here, relationships are built through the grace and love of Christ and we experience great encouragement along with joy. These words of submit and love are words of the freedom given in grace.Today, allow yourselves the beauty of grace living and speaking through you. The good news here is that his grace makes the difference along the journey. He will keep you stgrong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation. Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds. Psalm 149:4,5 NIV
All of life seems to change when we feel that those around us are delighted with who we are and what we are doing. Our emotions, our values and even our sorrows seem to have a better view of things when delighting is the feelings and expressions of those around us. Well, grace is always about delighting because in grace there is no condemnation about us or anyone else. Grace lets us know for certain that our Lord delights in us because we are in Jesus the Christ. For the LORD takes delight in his people and then He crowns the humble with salvation. With this attitude all things can become new and we begin to experience life in all its fullness. The Word of God calls this freedom. Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds, WOW!!! This freedom brings a real joy to our emotions which cause rejoicing, which brings about singing. Today, let your freedom in who you are because of the grace of Jesus Christ bring about a joy in your attitude which will make you want to sing. If you allow it, it will start this morning in your bed and continue through your day. Enjoy! Thursday, February 12 2026
LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill? He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman, who keep his oath even when it hurts. Psalm 15:1-4 NIV
Our heavenly Father, these are behaviors that overwhelm mankind. These simple truths seem to elude us along our journey. When we find ourselves doing and living just the opposite of what you just said, then we feel accused and at times worthless. Father, it is in this place, in this condition that you have given your grace to us through Jesus the Christ. Your grace cleanses us from the power and condemnation of our own sinful nature. Your grace gives us freedom of our emotions, thoughts, and words to experience your glory, rejoice in your life and live as an encouragement to others. Our heavenly Father thank you so much for your grace. Today let this prayer be yours and may our Lord grant to you in fullest measure the beauty, the freedom and the refreshment of his grace in your life and family. In the grace of Jesus Christ you have become a man or woman of God. Enjoy! Wednesday, February 11 2026
He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. Proverbs 17:9 NIV What is so bewildering is that we have such a struggle in covering the offenses of others. It is amazing how with just a few words people’s emotions can be changed. Think how many marriages, friendships, business's and just plaine family stuff would be refreshed if covering the offenses took place instead of repeating the matter. God’s grace allows us the joy of covering the offenses of others so that they may begin to hear and see the power of God’s love. He who covers over an offense promotes love. His grace which we know as his love given without condemnation will give us many opportunities through our life to bless instead of accusing, to give instead of take, to honor instead of putting down. Today enjoy the life of his grace as it is expressed from your heart and mind through the wonderful gift of your mouth. Your day will be refreshing!!! Enjoy Tuesday, February 10 2026
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him. Psalm 92:12-15 NIV
What an interesting journey life is. We can hardly wait to grow up and become an adult. But along our life we seem to have developed some emotions that are less than stellar about what we look like, or who we are or what have we accomplished. It is in this condition that grace can renew, refresh and give great freedom. For in the freedom of grace we will find a joy and strength that comes from the very life of God, it is called eternal. They will srtill bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him. No matter what our age is, grace can and will make our life new every morning with the joy of thanksgiving. Today may you be refreshed by the promise of grace in your life. You are meant to be the expressions, the voice and the attitude of God's grace and love to everyone around you. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 NIV
One of the beautiful moments along our journey through life is when we feel something and we describe it as feeling it with all our heart. This is not an academic statement; it is something that touches the very fiber of our being, our emotions, our thoughts and our desires. The beauty of God's grace is that it takes our belief in the Lord from the academic into a relationship with him that reaches the very soul of who we are. God’s grace impacts our heart like nothing else can and in grace our desires along with our emotions become free to express love, kindness and encouragement without the feeling of being strained. Here our marriage, our children and our relationships are refreshed in ways that cause us to rejoice and give thanks to the Lord. Today let yourself enjoy this freedom of his grace. Let your heart be refreshed along your journey and may he then give to you the desires of your heart as you delight yourself in him, Psalm 37:4 NIV. In this place you will find no regret or sorrow, what you will be is joy that is uncontainable! Enjoy! Friday, February 06 2026
The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The LORD protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me. Psalm 116:5, 6 NIV
There is a true relaxing joy in us when what we believe and say about God becomes who we are in the depth of our soul. It does not mean troubles and opportunities all leave the scene, but seeing them with the attitude of grace brings the blessings of real emotions and thoughts that are renewing and relaxing. When we allow the freedom of his grace to touch our emotions we will discover what the Psalmist meant when he said – “when I was in great need, he saved me.” Today, take a good deep breath from his Word and let your heart along with your mouth express compassion and thanksgiving for his grace and love for you. Your nature is on a great journey of renewal and the freedoms you were created for are about to blow your hair back. Enjoy! Thursday, February 05 2026
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NIV
The words here - hope, joy, peace and overflow are words of WOW! He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor. Proverbs 21:21 NIV
It is amazing what we really pursue as important during our lives. We work so hard at going after so many things that we think are important, only to find out that while pursuing them many of our relationships do not turn out to be what we hoped for. So what is this righteousness and love? Well, righteousness is the pursuing through all the details of our life a relationship with God that gives him glory (which is praise and thanksgiving to him). It allows us to work with our abilities, then rejoice and delight in him. Love allows us the ability to bless others as we work and play. It allows us the joy of being aware of the emotions, desires and goals of people we meet along our journey, then finding ways to bless them as our Lord has blessed us. Today let yourself enjoy his grace that gives you something to pursue that will not wear you out and will bring you along with others refreshment in your journey. Enjoy! Tuesday, February 03 2026
Do not let sin control the way you live, do not give in to sinful desires. Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. Romans 6:12, 14 NLT
What an amazing freedom there is in the grace of Jesus the Christ! Can you believe that sin is no longer your master. Can you grasp the reality, that grace in and through Jesus Christ is what it is, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. And what is it? Sin is no longer your master, Hallelujah!!! What a blessing we have, we get to experience the freedom of God’s grace in us by keeping sin from sitting on the throne of our heart. Do not let sin control the way you live, do not give in to sinful desires. That is the victory in the freedom of God’s grace in Jesus Christ! James Stifler – “The ideal Christian life is not a constant battle with sin, but a victory over it.” There is no regret, no sorrow, no shame, and no condemnation when we choose to live our new life in the living grace of Christ. This will be a very good day! Enjoy! Monday, February 02 2026
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. Psalm 86:5 NLT
So many of us seem to be struggling with ourselves as to our worth, our direction in life and the constant remembering of all our failures. The grace that is given in Jesus the Christ changes all of that. For the salvation given in Jesus Christ is about becoming new in all areas of our life. It is so drastic it is called a new birth, (born again) a new creation. In that moment this becomes our response, O Lord, you are so good! Grace changes the way we think and feel about ourselves, others and even our situations. When opportunities come our way that seem to be difficult, grace opens our thinking and emotions for a blessing in the midst of it. O Lord, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help! On this brand-new day where ever you may be, let yourself respond to our Lords blessings in his grace. Today, may you experience this from the depth of your soul to the expressions on your face to the sound of your words! O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love… Enjoy! |
